Spore Also Scheduled To Grow On Wii
Will Wright announced that Spore won't miss the Nintendo Wii platform. With a DS version also confirmed to be under development, this only goes to prove that the Electronic Arts marketing machines is doing its job as usual.

“We're doing Spore on the Wii, and we did MySims. It takes significant re-thinking to work out how you're going to do it. PS3 and Xbox 360 are similar enough that you can basically use the same system for both. So it comes down to what the interesting major platforms are and which markets we want to hit.”
During the same interview, the father of the Sims has an interesting view on PC gaming:
“Every generation it's like "the PC's dead! The PC's dead!". But it carries on growing when consoles are flat for five years. At the moment I can get better graphics on my PC than I can on the PS3.”
Spore should be released next spring. According to Wright's previous statement, the PC version of the game was already fully playable from the beginning to the end, but needed to undergo the final testing stage set to last around six months.
At present time, Spore is scheduled to be released on PC, Nintendo Wii, Nintendo DS and mobile phones. There has been no word on future expansion packs, but given the previous Sims experience, we can safely assume that “Spore: Bon Voyage” or “Spore: Nightlife” are part of the future plans.
