Simply dubbed Slacker Portable Player, the line will hit the stores on December 13. The cheapest (15 stations, 2GB) model will retail for $199.99, while the most expensive one (40 stations, 8GB) will cost $100 more. The middle ground goes to the model featuring 25 stations (4GB) for $249.99.

"We’ve created a groundbreaking portable music device that lets people play their favorite music without working at it, whenever they want to listen."

The Slacker Portable is designed to work with Slacker Basic Radio and Premium Radio services and will play personal radio stations anytime, either online or offline. Personalized stations are automatically refreshed via Wi-Fi or USB.

The device features support for MP3, WMA and AAC formats. According to the manufacturer, the (removable/ rechargeable battery) battery should last for about 10 hours. Add to this a 4" color screen and the usual earphones, USB 2.0 cable and carrying case package and the offer is complete.

Slacker is already taking pre-orders for the device.
