The first two highlights in Opera Mini 4 are the Opera Zoom, which provides the user with a smoother scrolling of web pages, and the Small Screen Rendering, which eliminates horizontal scrolling. In addition, Opera Mini automatically reduces the size of the transferred pages, so Web sites load faster while reducing the cost of surfing.

Speaking of speed, the developer claims that the new version is now twice as fast as any other mobile browsers on the market.

As expected, the new version of the Opera Mini supports Opera Link, a platform recently released that enables users to synchronize their desktop and mobile browser’s bookmarks and user data via Opera’s social network called My Opera.

At present time, the mobile browser is the world’s most popular mobile browser. According to Opera, there are around 26 million users every month, viewing more than one billion pages.

"Two years ago, we introduced Opera Mini to the world because we wanted to bring the Web to users everywhere. Today, Opera Mini is the world’s most popular mobile browser", says Jon von Tetzchner, CEO, Opera. "As a result, the mobile Web is now a mass phenomenon. Opera Mini 4 raises the bar for user-friendly access to the Web on any mobile phone, anywhere in the world."
