The speedy 2D scrolling blaster will become available this Wednesday, April 9, 2008 at 9:00 a.m. GMT and will have a price tag of 800 MS Points.

The twist of the game is to constantly switch their ship’s polarity to maximize their damage output and avoid incoming enemy fire of the opposite polarity. The color of the player’s ship determines the effect on enemies. If the enemy ships and their bullets are the same color as the player, then the player should absorb enemy fire of the same color as your ship, and use the energy for a special attack.

However, enemies of a different color should be smashed at once, especially since bullets do more damage to enemies of the opposite color. It’s either black or white, so choose wisely.

Ikaruga features multiplayer support for two-player co-op offline or over Xbox LIVE allows you to clear the levels with a friend. Also, players can record their best moves and replay them to awe their friends.
