According to various reports spread across the web, the PC version of the game features a strong mix of crashes, missing textures and restrictions related to graphic settings. Some even complain that the game just won’t load itself.

The icing on the cake is the game’s DRM, making sure players the best experience possible, the ironic way.

IT seems that the wave of complaints was heard by the right ears. Rockstar promises that patch will come and make all the issues go away:

“We are aware that a small number of fans are having problems running GTA IV on their PC’s and we would like to assure them we are working to help solve these as quickly as possible.

We would ask anyone that is encountering difficulties to contact their local technical support helpline for advice and recommendations. These telephone numbers can be found in the game’s manual.”

Somehow, this reminds me of Medieval II Total War, one game that managed to have a 700 MB patch.
