Update 3.90 can be download on a PC and then copied to the PSP or downloaded directly using the Wi-Fi connection of the console.

Unfortunately for some PSP users, the new feature is only available for those using the Slim & Lite model. After having installed the update, the users must register an account (if they don’t have one already) and attach the headset and remote control.

The new offer includes both free calls over the Internet to Skype users as well as paid-for calls to landline and mobile phones.

In addition, Sony’s console will also feature an interactive information icon for Go!Messenger via the firmware update, but users won’t be able to use the IM and video-chat app until February.
