"The response to the Spore Creature Creator has been overwhelming," said Lucy Bradshaw, executive producer at Maxis. "The creativity and passion that the community is putting into their creatures is spectacular. The development team has spent the last 24 hours checking out the amazing creations racing in from all corners of the globe – with peak volume hitting more than 1000 creatures being shared a minute."

However, everything is not going perfectly smooth in Sporeland. EA keeps a watchful eye on the all beast-makers, as every once in a while someone will come up with a beast that manages to violate the Terms of Service. After all, being able to make your creature just the way you want might result in walking private parts being shared on EA’s service.

The publisher already announced that it had already banned several such creatures and promised to axe the accounts altogether if the users persist in such activities.

Spore Creature Creator was released two days ago. The Spore game will be release on PC, Mac, Nintendo DS and mobile phones on September 5, 2008 in Europe and September 7, 2008 in North America and Asia.
