Fox Network’s report on the so-called sexual explicit content in Bioware’s Mass Effect was anything but an example of professional journalism, and EA demanded that the company fixed the issue. Up till now, the only “official statement” on the matter consists in a couple of phrases aiming to pin the blame on the publisher.
According to MTV Multiplayer, the answer goes as follows:
“Fox News Channel has extended several invitations to EA through a company representative to appear on ‘Live Desk With Martha MacCallum’ to discuss ‘Mass Effect’ and the segment which aired on Monday. We have received no response.”
In translation: “we’re not sorry for wrongfully bashing the game, although we had no proof nor guests actually aware of what they were talking about. It’s EA’s job to defend itself and we say they didn’t contact us.”
