Dexheimer has official lost his position starting on February 26. His attributions have been passed to other managers at Seagate. Still, he will remain with the company through the remainder of its fiscal year (June 30) to ensure a smooth transition of his responsibilities.
At present time, Seagate and Dexheimer are still negotiating the terms of the separation agreement.
In addition to Dexheimer’s leave, Seagate announced similar plans for five senior vice-president and seventeen vice-president level employees. Together, they represent approximately 20% of Seagate positions at or above the vice-president level.
These terminations will take effect beginning on May 4, 2009. The name of the unlucky boys at Seagate will remain secret for the time being.
