According to MTV News, the 360 Remote has been under development since last August and is most likley that it would hit the shelves before the end of the year:

"Rare, the Microsoft-owned studio behind Xbox 360’s launch first-person shooter Perfect Dark Zero and the upcoming instalment of the Banjo-Kazooie franchise, has been tasked with creating a unified interface and look for the controller. Rare has had trouble hitting its deadlines, according to the source."

In addition, Rare is also reported to be working on a Xbox 360 version of Miis as well.

The reports makes sense, given that Microsoft has been tempted to expand its gaming empire on the casual gaming market. However, will this copy-cat strategy prove enough to significantly boost the adoption rate of the Xbox 360?
