Spore carries on the tradition of the Sims and lets everyone know it will be a long time before it leaves the top position is the charts.
According to NPD's data, Will Wright's planetary breeding ground was the number one seller for the of September 21 – September 27. The challenger was Warhammer Online: Age Of Reckoning, but online war apparently failed to be convincing enough for the potential new recriuts. Blame Bush, it must be the war in Iraq causing this lack of signups.
Civilization IV colonized the third spot in the charts and built some heavy defenses to ensure that Crysis: Warhead would advance no further and remain blocked on fourth.
The rest of the top is just your regular World of Warcraft/Sims 2 mix, with a dash of Lego Batman to make things lokk at least a bit different. The complete top is down below:
