According to security research firm WebSense, spammers are also getting humans to lend a helping hand.
Captcha (Completely Automated Public Turing test to tell Computers and Humans Apart) is a test designed to make bots unable to register on sites or make email addresses for spamming purposes. It consists on several letters placed in a small box, letters that the user must input in order to be able to proceed further with the registration process.
With Google’s email being so popular nowadays, it’s pretty clear that the search giant’s service has also increased its appealing for cyber-crooks.
For consolation purposes: Microsoft CAPTCHA has also been defeated by using the same method. Several weeks ago.
