January was a very good month for YouTube: the site surpassed 100 million viewers for the first time.

According to data issued by comScore, 100.9 million viewers watched 6.3 billion videos on YouTube.com, with an average of 62.6 videos per viewer. Added to Google Video's users, the two Google sites grew to 102 million online video viewers during the month.

Next in line came Fox Interactive Media with 62,109 million users, followed by Yahoo sites with 41,859 million.

The video market share competition was dominated by Google's sites as well, with 6.4 billion videos viewed, meaning a 43 percent online video market share. As expected, YouTube accounted for more than 99 percent of all videos viewed at the property.

Fox Interactive Media gained once again the second place with 552 million videos (3.7 percent), followed by Yahoo! Sites with 374 million (2.5 percent) and Viacom Digital with 288 million (1.9 percent).
