As already seen in the Angelina Jolie nude or the US Amry invasion of Iran cases, the email lures the reader into clicking ona link to the spectacular video of the crash. The user will attempt to download the video and will end up with brand new malware installed on its computer.
The malware featured in the spam emails was identified as Banker-LGC by Spanish anti-virus firm Panda Security.
"This is not the first time we have seen this piece of news used to spread malware though, as a few weeks ago we saw a very similar one, the major difference was that it was trying to install a Gaobot worm instead," says Luis Corrons, technical director of PandaLabs.
