Apparently, the team fell in love with Africa and wishes to further explore it in a new title. The news comes from Ubi’s Patrick Redding. Videogaming247.com caught Redding in a good mood at the Leipzig Games Convention and got the following:

“For us Africa still has a huge amount of promise. There are still things we want to do with the African setting, and I think it’s safe to say we’ll continue to explore it. That said, we might find something new and compelling about the Antarctic setting that wants us to make the next game there, but honestly, we’re still at the preliminary stages.”

It seems that the series does indeed please Ubisoft’s strategists, given current plans. While such talk is normal when the previous game is ready to launch or has already hit the market, keep in mind that Far Cry 2 won’t be out until the end of the year.

At present time, Far Cry 2 is scheduled to be released on Pc, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
