According to the agreement, Staples will retail Dell notebook and desktop computers, monitors, printers, ink and toner. The deal will include 1,400 Staples stores and will start off on November 11.

The first products to hit the Staples stores will include the following:
– Inspiron 1721 and 1521 notebooks
– Inspiron 530 desktops
– Dell 948 and 926 all-in-one inkjet printers
– Dell 1320c laser printer
– Dell SE198WFP 19-inch widescreen flat panel LCD monitor
– Dell E228WFP 22-inch widescreen flat panel LCD monitor

At present time Dell is the world’s second largest PC vendor, behind Hewlett Packard. Dell still holds the pole position in the US (28.0% market share), but even there HP is not far behind (24.3%).
