Spore: Only One Ending
Published on Games  |  July 17, 2008, 14:50

Will Wright has had enough with the “Neverending Story” tradition of the Sims games. Maxis announced that Spore, his upcoming creation, will end at some point.

Producer Thomas Vu has been talking to Joystiq and unveiled that the world of Spore will come to an end once the level reaches the space age. Rest assured, there's no cataclysm waiting to crush your space vessels once they venture outside the planet.

Players will be free to roam around the Universe for around 15 to 20 hours of gameplay. Perhaps they'll get tired and push the Armageddon button themselves:

“No matter how your species lives its existence, it always ends the same way as you make your way to the center of the universe.

Unsurprisingly, Vu said the game has a twist ending. Also unsurprisingly, he was mum on what that twist is.”

Spore will be release on PC, Mac, Nintendo DS and mobile phones on September 5, 2008 in Europe and September 7, 2008 in North America and Asia.
