NBC Shows Arrive On Zune
Published on Business  |  May 6, 2008, 13:46

It was bound to happen: after last year's quarrel with Apple, NBC took its shows to the once proclaimed iTunes killer: Microsoft's Zune. Is it too little, too late?

Microsoft has expanded its Zune catalog, which now includes ownloadable content from Comedy Central, MTV, NBC Universal, Nickelodeon, Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) and VH1 and many others.

The television shows will be available for 160 Microsoft Points per episode at launch. That's around $1.99 in regular currency.

Microsoft also has updated some tweaks in the Zune Pass area, with subscribers now being able to set up automatic, real-time feeds of the music played by their friends.

Also, they can add those songs to their collection should they desire. Subscribers will have the full track on their Zune (if the song is available, fo course), while the other will only get full info on the track (album information and artwork).

The Zune Pass subscription costs $14.99 per month.
