The official release date has been set on June 18, one day after the arrival of Firefox 3.0.

The first wave of changes is supposed to splans on the top-line navigation tabs, which are to be narrowed down to only five: five (Home, Profile, Mail, Music and  MySpaceTV. The other option will be relocated in a drop-down menu.

The site redesign will also bring a true full-screen mode to the MySpaceTV Flash video player, plus an improved set of controls.

Last but not least, MySpace’s programmers poked their noses into the Search department. The new site will have search results take personal relevance into consideration. As it follows, the results for linked friends will come first, while other results will be sorted based on how closer are the linked persons to the user (work colleagues, their friends, etc)

At present time, MySpace attracts around 115 million visitors per month.
