His latest statement comes to paint PC gaming once again in the most dark colors one can find. During an interview for Videogamer, the Lionhead boss stated:

“If you look at the gamer market on PC, I’ll be quite honest with you, it’s in tatters. There aren’t that many releases on PC. There are some high points like Crysis and what Blizzard is doing, but other than that you are restricted to The Sims and World of Warcraft, they seem to be dominating the PC side.”

With Lionhead now under the wing of the Xbox 360, such statements are anything but unexpected. Molyneux’s best titles were released on the PC platform, during his years at Bullfrog.

As for the Sims 2 or World of Warcraft franchises, they’re only two of the best selling titles ever, but this definitely doesn’t mean that there isn’t no more room oon the PC gaming market.

Then again, PC gamers have a reputation of being not so fond of poorly-made titles…
