Bad news for hackers living in Bavaria: the authorities are working and they have a new catch and another group is currently offline.

The German police arrested 11 people suspected of being part of a hacking group. According to media reports, the suspects’ ages range between 15 and 22 years old, with seven of them being under 18. As expected, their computers and related items were also confiscated for forensic examination.  and confiscated computers for forensic examination.

The newly-arrested gang is said to have been based around 'hacksector', an internet forum focused on hacking and the exchange of stolen credit card information

"Although the internet is by-and-large a wonderful thing, there are some corners of the worldwide web which are dedicated to crime. The price of freedom-of-speech is that sites exist where people are given free reign to discuss how to make other peoples' lives a misery," said Graham Cluley, senior technology consultant for Sophos.

The raids and consequential arrests were made in Baden-Württemberg, Hamburg, Lower Saxony North Rhine-Westphalia and Rhineland-Palatinate.
