EA Confirms: The KotOR MMO Is In The Works!
The word comes straight from the Electronic Arts chief executive John Riccitiello: we have the KotOR license and we do intend to use at its fullest!
July 18, 2008
"We've got two of the most compelling MMOs in the industry in development," said Riccitiello. "The first title, based on the Warhammer property, will launch soon. "And the one that people are dying for us to talk to them about -- in partnership with Lucas, coming out of BioWare, which is, I think, quite possibly the most anticipated game, full stop, for the industry at the point when we get closer to telling you about it."
The next question fired at Riccitiello was plain and simple: does he mean Knights of the Old Republic Online? The EA man simply said "Yes". So start polishing your lightsabers, you're going to need it at some point in the future.
In the mean time, don't forger that EA's Bioware is still working on Dragon Age: Origins, so don't let your medieval inventory catch rust, alright?
