At present time Blizzard still keeps the site “down for maintenance” and there’s no official word about the plan to bring it up again. The company stated that the issue is "top priority," and it was being investigated.

According to the Diablo maker, the crash was caused by the immense number of people accessing the site and trying to purchase tickets for the BlizzCon event.

This year’s edition of the event is particularly interesting, given the games lined up to take the center stage. Diablo III, StarCraft II and World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King are currently under development and Blizzard is expected to make some interesting announcements.

Chances are that the site will become available at some point during the afternoon. Tickets for the event are $100. The patience, at this point, is rather priceless for the fans.
