Asus Claims To Have The Fastest Smartphone In The World
Published on Hardware  |  November 20, 2008, 15:47

The Asus P565 has no match in terms of speed, the company claimed when it unveiled the new smartphone.

According to a company statement, the new smartphone obtained Vsbenchmark scores almost two times that of competing products in its class.

The P565 features an 800 MHz processor, Glide, Asus' latest touch-driven user interface and a 2.8" touchscreen running at a high resolution of 480 x 640 pixels. Additional features include a 3-megapixel camera, GPS and MicroSD removable storage.

The dimenstions of the device are 102 mm x 60.5 mm x 16 mm and its weight is of 120 g (with battery)

The P565 comes with a potent suite of business-oriented features and software, including push mail, business card recognition and Microsoft Office Mobile. Other useful applications such as Anytime Launcher and Multi-Home enable users to view their calendars, the times of local and visiting cities, weather reports or online news.

The downside of the device is found in the battery life department: 3 hours of 3G talk time or 4 hours at 2G. The standby time is of 250-300 hrs with 3G and 200-250 hrs with 2G.
